Lesson 1: Food
Bible Verses: Hebrews 5:12-14; 1 Peter 2:1-3; John 6:26-27; John 6:32-33 & 35
Bottom Line: If we only eat spiritual “junk food,” we’ll never grow. If we nourish ourselves with good spiritual food and knowledge of God’s Word, then we’ll be on our way to a growth spurt!
Lesson 2: Water
Bible Verses: Jeremiah 17:13; Jeremiah 2:13; Psalm 36:9; John 4:10-11; John 7:37-39; Revelation 21:6
Bottom Line: We need water to survive, but not just regular water. Jesus came so that we can have the only water that truly quenches our thirst, the living water that leads to eternal life!
Lesson 3: Exercise
Bible Verses: Romans 6:13; 1 Corinthians 9:24-27; 1 Timothy 4:8; Proverbs 24:5; 1 Corinthians 6:19-20; Philippians 4:13; Proverbs 31:17; Isaiah 40:31; Matthew 22:37
Bottom Line: We can learn to work out our bodies, souls, and minds to grow stronger in Christ!
Lesson 4: Rest
Bible Verses: Genesis 2:3; Exodus 20:8-10; Psalm 46:10; Psalm 23:2-3; Psalm 37:7; Psalm 62:1-2; Hebrews 4:9-11; Jeremiah 6:16; Matthew 11:28-30
Bottom Line: Part of having a growth spurt is giving our body time to rest. In the same way, when we carry heavy burdens, God gives us rest for our souls.
