Easter is a time of celebration, but what if an egg hunt could do more than just entertain? RISEN is a high-energy, interactive event where preteens experience the Easter story firsthand—not just through words, but through three immersive egg hunts woven into the lesson itself.

Preteens don’t just hear the story of Jesus’ death and resurrection—they become part of it. Each round of the three-act Easter egg hunt leads into a new phase of the greatest story ever told. As they find special eggs, they unlock pieces of the story, revealing the purpose, forgiveness, and freedom found in Jesus!

How It Works:

RISEN is structured around three interactive egg hunts, with teaching moments between each hunt that walk preteens through the events of Easter:

1️⃣ Egg Hunt #1 – The Garden 🏡 (Ephesians 2:10 – God created us for a purpose!)

• Preteens experience Jesus praying in Gethsemane, the disciples falling asleep, and His arrest.
• Special eggs reveal key roles in the story.

2️⃣ Egg Hunt #2 – The Cross ✝️ (John 15:13 – Jesus laid down His life for us!)

• Preteens follow Jesus’ journey through His trial, Peter’s denial, and His crucifixion.
• A powerful moment reveals that Jesus’ death was an act of love to bring forgiveness.

3️⃣ Egg Hunt #3 – The Tomb 🌅 (1 Corinthians 15:55-57 – Jesus conquered death and offers us freedom!)

• The hunt ends with the joy of the Resurrection—Jesus is alive!
• Preteens celebrate that sin and death have been defeated once and for all.
